Heather Yaxley is a graduate in psychology from Birmingham University. She authored an international distance learning programme for the CIPR qualifications and most recently has created an online resource, www.greenbanana.biz which supports her UK students learning. She is a part-time lecturer at Bournemouth University, with particular understanding of public opinion and persuasion, within an ethical, CSR framework. She has presented papers at industry conferences on both the history of PR practice in the motor industry and a model for its future development.

Heather is currently working on a number of professional development initiatives within the Green Banana framework, which aims to bring together best practice in active and accelerated learning with vocational and academic perspectives of public relations.
Employment highlights included a senior role in a specialist PR and sponsorship consultancy. In her long year experience Heather has worked and continues to work for clients such as Ford Motor Company, Formula One, Rugby World Cup, Toyota GB Ltd, National Breakdown Recovery Club (now Green Flag), Peugeot Limited, Coca-Cola Company, Burson Marstellar, Motability Finance Operations, SMMT, AtoZ Supplies, Accord plc, IPR, George Hartwell Ltd, PRISM, npower renewables, Corus and Nissan.
