Apeiron Academy challenges people up to 21 with an essay competition on the topic
„How would I present Bulgaria if I were a PR specialist?”
On 31 May 2010, Apeiron Academy, Accredited centre of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR, UK) starts its first PR competition for people of the age of 16-21. The big prize is a full scholarship in the newest CIPR professional qualification in PR and communications - CIPR Foundation Award in PR.
The course will start for its first time in Bulgaria in the Fall of 2010. The scholarship covers the expences of the education and the additional student materials but will not cover travel expenses, accomodation and CIPR membership fee. To participate in the competition are allowed students up to 21 years-old who do not have formal education and are not professionally involved in the field of PR and communications. The condition is simple - the candidate will have to write and send us an essay on the topic ‘How would I present Bulgaria if I were a PR specialist?’ until 24 June 2010.
The best work will win full scholarship for CIPR Foundation Award. 9 of his/her peers with good essays will participate in the initiative” A day with the PR department of…” in the beginning of July, 2010 when students will have the opportunity to “get immersed” into the workday of recognized PR and communication specialists in Bulgarian and foreign companies, such as Mobiltel, BNP Paribas - Personal Finance Bulgaria, Bella Bulgaria, Deloitte, Danone Serdika, Active Group, PIC “Suglasie”, Junior Achievment Bulgaria.

All 10 winners will go through a short course in PR and communications conducted by graduates of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

The course is designed for those considering PR as a career option; whether school-leavers, students or those already working in a different industry who would like to move into public relations. CIPR Foundation Award is the newest qualification programme of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. The Bulgarian Accredited centre became the first centre outside United Kingdom that got a licence for teaching the Certificate and will start the first course in Fall 2010. The course comprises 3 main modules that are covered in 15 hours of tution.
Students who pass the Foundation Award are qualified to take the CIPR’s Advanced Certificate professional qualification. Full syllabus you can find here.

The essay competition “How would I present Bulgaria if I were a PR specialist?” and the initiative “One day in the PR department of…” are part of a Apeiron Academy project dedicated to the idea of creating various and diverse opportunities for young people for professional, social, and personal development. The project aims to help improve the communication skills of young people and provides an opportunity for career guidance.
