On 30 June 2010, Apeiron Academy, Accredited centre of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR, UK) ended its first Youth PR competition for people of the age of 16-21. The big prize is a full scholarship in the newest CIPR professional qualification in PR and communications - CIPR Foundation Award in PR.
25 young people, from different towns in Bulgaria, attended the competition with essays on the topic „How would I present Bulgaria if I was a PR specialist?“. The competition and the initiative ” A day with the PR department of…” got the support of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science of Bulgaria and communication experts from the ministry Pessoffice as a project that will enable young people the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge for the profession of professional communicator and have the opportunity for mentoring and career guidance in the selection of future special education.
Eleven are the winners who will make their first steps into the world of PR and communications within the initiative” A day with the PR department of…”. Heather Yaxley, communication expert from the Chartered Institute of Public Relation (CIPR, UK) and leading lector in the qualification Foundation Award in PR, will determine the winner who will be awarded with full scholarship to study in the newest CIPR professional qualification in PR and communications - CIPR Foundation Award in PR. .
The Bulgarian Accredited centre - Apeiron Academy, became the first centre outside United Kingdom that got a license for teaching the Certificate and will start the first course in Fall 2010. The course comprises 3 main modules that are covered in 15 hours of tuition. Students who pass the Foundation Award are qualified to take the CIPR’s Advanced Certificate professional qualification. The 11 finalists will be “interns” for a day in the partner organizations Mobiltel, BNP Paribas Personal Finance, Bella Bulgaria, Deloitte Bulgaria, Danone Serdica, Active Group, PIC” Suglasie”, Junior Achievement Bulgaria and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science of Bulgaria. Mentors of the young people will be recognized PR and communication specialists - graduates from the CIPR Diploma in PR and CIPR Internal Communications Certificate qualification programmes, held in the Accredited Centre Apeiron Academy, and friends of Apeiron:

5. Velina Popova, 18 years, student at Language School “Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov”, Veliko Tarnovo
6. Mirela Zaneva, 18 years., student at 164 GPIE “Miguel de Cervantes”, Sofia
7. Elena Georgieva, 22 years, student at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Sofia
8. Svetoslava Todorova, 17 years, student at National Classic Lyceum “Konstantin Kiril Filisof”, Sofia
9. Vanessa Vazharova, 18 years, student in the town of Kyustendil
10. Juliana Aldinova, 22 years, student at the Technical University, specialty Industrial Management, Sofia
11. Encouraging award for original presentation is given to Teodora Koleva, 24 years, student at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, majoring in French Studies, Sofia
